Brittany Pavon Suriel
Originally from Atlanta, Brittany holds a Bachelor's degree from Barnard College in Anthropology and Human Rights Studies. While in college and upon graduating, Brittany worked with under-served and low-income youth for many years. She later transitioned to working in higher education administration at Columbia University School of Nursing where she remained for over six years working in admissions, financial aid, and career development. She holds a Master's degree in International Educational Development from Teachers College and is passionate about empowering others through education and training. She is a native Spanish speaker and also speaks French and basic Arabic. In her spare time she practices yoga, volunteers for various organizations (providing translation, mentoring, and career counseling for immigrants and refugees), and enjoys traveling. She is looking forward to joining a non-profit and returning to work with New York City youth.
