Asia Tillery graduated from the College of Saint Rose with a B.S. in Childhood Education, concentration in Mathematics, and a minor in Psychology. In 2018 she earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership Politics and Advocacy from New York University. She has spent the last five years working at a non-profit tutoring organization where she served as a Site Director for three of those years. Asia is passionate about educational equity and is a part of a coalition of community members, educators, and leaders who organize through social and political action to demand equity for the children of New York. She is committed to community service and has organized and hosted several backpack and prom dress drives for students in underprivileged communities. Asia hopes to use her leadership skills to make a greater impact on the students that PENCIL serves.
