Launched in 1995, Principal for a Day has drawn critical attention and funding to address the challenges facing our City’s public schools. Throughout the week of May 15, New York City business professionals and school leaders will take part in a variety of activities at public schools across the five boroughs. These opportunities will allow participating professionals to celebrate the accomplishments of the PENCIL network, connect with successful programs, and create new solutions to solve challenges facing public schools.
On the evening of Thursday, May 18, the PENCIL network will come together to celebrate their work supporting student and school success. This celebratory event will include a discussion of the role of business in supporting public education, recognition and awards for network members, and a special reception with cocktails, music, mingling, and more.
You can participate in Principal For A Day any day during the week of May 15th.
